Daniel Larsen founded Alpha Sound in 2004 as a young Sound Engineer looking for experience in every aspect of the Audio Industry.
After graduating SAE with an honors degree in Recording Arts he went on to teach there for a number of years. He opened multiple rehearsal spaces in Auckland and has a rich history in live sound, providing Front of House engineering services for some of Australasia’s biggest names.
He collaborates closely with renowned international audio brands and has attended conferences worldwide to strengthen his depth of knowledge in all things sound related.
Now primarily focused on the installation side of things, Daniel is steadily establishing himself and his company as a prominent authority in the field.

Alphasound were engaged in installing a sound system into the church of St. Matthews in-the-City, Auckland.
This is a category A heritage building listed with both Auckland Council and Heritage NZ Pouhere Taonga. It is one of the finest buildings in the country and the requirements for any modifications or installations are demanding to the smallest of detail.
The Alphasound team assigned to this project were competent, skilled and multi-disciplined. The installation required custom-made components to conceal cabling against the stone walls and an extremely difficult cabling operation in the sub-floor areas.
The team accepted the challenge with a ‘can do attitude’ and a readiness to meet the high standard set by the architects detailing the installation. Their knowledge of the industry, from the science of sound distribution within a building to the intricacies of cable reticulation, was re-assuring.
